Crystal Palace are hoping to wrap up a deal to sign Fulham midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi on loan for the rest of the season.

The South Africa international has only made one substitute’s appearance for Fulham this season, although the Premier League club did take up an option to extend his contract last month.

The 26-year-old is now likely to finish the campaign at Crystal Palace after manager Dougie Freedman confirmed his interest.

Freedman said “He’s an experienced international player who has played in England for a little bit of time now, so he will be adapted to that.

“He’s a holding midfielder who can break play up but he can also start attacks.

“Kagisho’s an athletic type and he will sit in the midfield and give us a bit of experience.” .
