Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera’s agent says the midfielder is going nowhere before the transfer window closes, despite failing to agree a new deal at Fulham.

The Hungarian’s agent Vladan Filipovic said earlier on Monday that ‘half of the Premier League’ were chasing Gera’s signature ahead of the transfer deadline.

The 31-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been linked with a move to several clubs this month, including Blackpool and Birmingham, despite Fulham boss Mark Hughes stressing he wants to keep him with the Cottagers.

Filipovic insists Gera is not interested in a contract extension at Craven Cottage, with the midfielder seeking regular first-team football, but says he is staying put for the time being.

He told www.origo.hu: “Fulham officials said they don’t want to let Zoltan go so his case is now closed for the transfer period.

“They wanted to talk with us but I said we’re not interested in the extension of his contract at the moment.”

Gera, who arrived at Fulham from West Brom in 2008, has notched up 22 Premier League appearances this season, scoring one goal.
