Fulham manager Mark Hughes is believed to be targeting a January move for £2 million-rated Cardiff City forward Jay Bothroyd.

The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer, is refusing to sign a new contract at Cardiff.

The hitman had a run out for Fabio Capello’s England recently, but has been sidelined for the last three games – at club level – due to a hamstring injury.

Now there are media reports that the Welsh outfit are willing to cash in on their striker instead of letting him leave on a Bosman transfer during the summer.
