Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hangeland, Hughes, Briggs, Davies, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Gera, Kamara. Subs: Stockdale, Kelly, Baird, Andrew Johnson, Duff, Eddie Johnson, Greening.
So, big news, after that youth article I wrote a couple of days ago about not resisting the temptation to throw youngsters in at the deep end… Briggs starts! Just as he did against Chelsea and it’s just as suprising. He was dropped for Newcastle in favour for Duff and didn’t make the bench against Birmingham, does Hughes trust him defensively more than any other Salcido alternative? Anyway, at last he’s making an impression on the first team after the injures and loss of form since his debut. Really nice to see.
Also, Kamara preferred to AJ, sounds like AJ’s not fit again which is bad news after Kamara’s headless chicken impression last week. Here’s the Arsenal team if you’re interested. It’s strong but Koscielny’s playing which gives me hope.
Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Koscielny, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Nasri, Rosicky, Arshavin, Chamakh. Subs: Szczesny, van Persie, Walcott, Denilson, Djourou, Gibbs, Bendtner.
unbelievable…
So it’s 1-1.It wouldn’t surprise me if the gunners draw or lose the match. The gunners have squandered at two chances and if it continues in this vein ,it will backfire on Wener who says he has no nees to buy.
We will have to wait and see. Frankly I don;t think the gunnese can win this match.Of course it aint over until the final whistle and the gunners could yet win.
45 minutes is a long time in footy, until the final whistle will i start celebrating a point… amazing that we’re still in it though, it was almost embarassing until we scored, since then we’ve been on top!
thought our defending was poor. terrible, actually. made nasri look like a magician. we’ll have to watch those goals again for some time to come. like that old Henry goal where he skips past 4 or 5 motionless fulham players.
