Fulham manager Mark Hughes praised his side’s ‘professional’ performance after they battled for a point at Newcastle United this afternoon.

The Whites were indebted to a fine display from goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, who made a series of fine saves, to ensure that that they left St. James’ Park with a share of the spoils.

Hughes said:

“We are pleased with what we have produced. It was important we came here and were really positive, and I think we were. From our point of view, we very much view it as a very good, professional away performance today.”
