Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera today insisted Fulham will not panic despite their proximity to the relegation zone.

Fulham have won just two of their 14 Premier League games this season and following yesterday’s home defeat by Manchester City they are only out of the bottom three on goal difference.

But Gera, who was a second-half substitute, believes his team-mates have the quality to pull away from trouble.

“We must not panic. We need to stick together,” he said. “If you start panicking, it is not good for the team. We know we can do much better – and we will.

“The League is so tight at the moment. We still have time to pick up points and get out of this zone. I am confident in the team we have. We have a good spirit, so I am sure we will not panic and win our games.”

But Fulham have scored only 14 goals and Gera added: “It is difficult. We create a lot of chances but we haven’t taken enough of them. We need to work on that.

“Hopefully, the bad luck will turn around. We need to forget this game, do better in the next one against Birmingham, which is important, and beat them.”
