Fulham boss Mark Hughes is reported to be keen to take England and Tottenham winger David Bentley to Fulham in a January loan deal.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad in the new year and he has to sell to buy.

Bentley has no part in the Spurs manager’s plans after starting just one Premier League game this season and is reported to be set to leave White Hart Lane.

The Arsenal academy graduate enjoyed the best spell of his career when playing for Hughes at Blackburn Rovers and the Welshman believes he can help the 26-year-old rediscover his best form. Fulham were credited with interest in signing Bentley at the end of the summer transfer window.
