Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is reportedly looking to sign a pre-contract with a European club, so as to make a free transfer when his current contract at Craven Cottage expires next summer.
The 37-year-old was the subject of a public chase by Arsenal, as a replacement for their current shot-stopper Manuel Almunia.
And despite the Australian himself speaking out in favour of the proposed move across London to the Emirates Stadium, the Cottagers held on to him as the transfer window came to a close.
Now The Mirror reports that the former Middlesbrough ‘keeper is hoping to sign a pre-contract with another club in January with a view to making a move following the 2010-11 season.
There has been some speculation that Schwarzer could still join Arsenal when the winter transfer window opens in January.
