Fulham midfielder Bjorn Helge Riise will not be sent out on loan, according to his agent Tore Pedersen.

The 27-year-old Norway international has yet to play for the Cottagers this season and was reportedly unsure where he stood under new manager Mark Hughes.

Speculation mounted that a short-term move away from West London may have been on the cards, but following a discussion with the club, Riise’s agent says he will be staying put.

“We have been in contact with Fulham, and been told that Bjorn Helge will not be loaned out,” Pedersen told Nettavisen.

“The feedback was that they are delighted with him, and his chance will come.

“They were crystal clear that he is not going to be loaned out. Instead, they praised his attitude and effort in training.”

Riise, younger brother of former Liverpool full-back John Arne, has been at Craven Cottage for one year after arriving from Lillestrom last summer.
