Fulham are keen on a deadline day move for Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe, according to a Sky Sports News report.

The Dutchman is surplus to requirements for Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu having been left out of their league opener at Real Mallorca this weekend. Monaco were thought to favourites to sign the left winger, but Drenthe turned down the more.

Mark Hughes is interested in exploiting Drenthe’s availability, especially as his versatility to full in at left back if requirement will plug another gap in the Fulham squad.
