It’s not Jol then. It strikes me as a little odd that the Club have issued a rather formally worded statement confirming that they have “ceased negotiations” when they never actually confirmed that negotiations had commenced. Still, at least we can our F5 buttons a rest for a day or so.
Who next? Your guess is probably as good as mine. I’d quite like Mark “Sparky” Hughes actually, although I fear I may be in a minority of one. I’m not convinced that Alistair Mackintosh would be all that keen either.
Either way I think I’d quite like to just get back to the football.
I wanted Jol big time, he could take us forward but now with the likes of dave jones being linked, people like that would get us relegated!!! Why are these sort of names even being linked with fulham? I agree i would like Hughes but other than that i cant see anyone else who would take us forward, i believe sven will drain al fayeds money on nonsense players, dave jones would buy all his cardiff team – championship players therefore back to the lawrie sanchez days and anyone else who is not a big name will drag us down and we can wave good bye to a top 10 finish and hello to seasons of battling for survival. I really do hope that whoever comes in will prove me wrong. To be honest i was shocked that jol would even show an interest in coming but now after he rejected us i am worried for the future of my beloved fulham.

I wouldn’t be too worried about a Dave Jones-type appointment. It makes no sense. If we’re prepared to pay £8 to buy out a contract and £2m/year, it’s clear to me that the club is taking this very seriously.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we end up with a bigger name that hasn’t been mentioned anywhere yet. Being patient with this process is the right way to go IMO, I’d much rather get another great manager on board two weeks before the season than end up with a mediocre manager today.
I agree and I hope they don’t bother with any of the managers they have mentioned, Hughes and Slavic would be up there but we need someone better what about manager that was taken over by rafa after he left Liverpool! Also we need to keep swartzher otherwise we need someone better then James maybe neuer or someone with youth and quality since we can’t have hart from city
This is all so frustrating. Why’d Roy have to wait so damn long to take off? Yeah, waiting on Liverpool and Rafa, but, damn. We’re three weeks out from the start of the season? Can’t make any inbound transfers until we have a manager.
