Alex McLeish clearly wishes his left back was Paul Konchesky, which is a bit of a surprise considering how well Liam Ridgewell played on that side of Birmingham’s defence last season.
This morning’s Sun says that Blues are prepared to offer £2m for the former West Ham defender but given that Konchesky’s been a solid performer since he joined Fulham three seasons ago, you’d fancy Birmingham would have to shell out a lot more to come close to getting their man.
