It seems like I’m linking to a When Saturday Comes article every other day at the moment, which would be just reward for producing some fine football writing. This article nails why the Hammers have misdirected their anger in complaining about Fulham’s team selection (as does Dave Kidd’s piece in the People, for which, unfortunately, there isn’t an online link yet).
Clint Dempsey’s not too happy about being called a weak player either:
I was in the side that lost at Hull and I don’t feel like a weak player. I felt strong and confident during that game and tried to get the job done. What West Ham are saying is disrespectful to me.
Perhaps his last sentence is the most interesting, though.
When we play them it could be a very interesting game.
