One of the dangers of Fulham doing so well of late is that a big club or even a national FA might come in for Roy Hodgson. The wily old coach says he’s happy to continue his fine work at Craven Cottage and I hope he’d like to finish the job at Craven Cottage as does Bobby Zamora.

A lot of other clubs are looking at him and rightly so. He’s a great leader, everyone has seen it, [and] an excellent manager. He has done a great job. He has made us far more organised, everybody knows their jobs and we’re so well drilled.

You only have to look at the way we line up now on the pitch to see the impact he has had on us. Sometimes we are sick of it in training but he leaves us in no doubt about what he wants from us and he gets results.

Bob’s pretty coy about England chances. Asked what more he can do to force his way into the England reckoning, he says only:

You will have to ask Mr Capello that.
