Fulham’s reserves host Birmingham City at Motspur Park this evening, kick off at 7pm. The Whites will be looking to build on an encouraging victory against Stoke last time out, that included an impressive performance from recent signing Chris Buchtmann.

Billy McKinlay’s side drew the corresponding fixture 1-1 earlier in the season and are probably favourites for this encounter since they sit three places above the Blues in the table and have only played nine games, signifcantly fewer than many of the sides bunched around them.

Who plays in this game will perhaps be pretty interesting with Juventus coming up on Thursday. Media reports suggest Wayne Brown was recalled specifically to feature in this fixture given all the injuries that Fulham have suffered in midfield. I don’t imagine Paul Konchesky will test his fitness in the reserves this close to the second leg against the Italians, but it will be intriguing to see how Fulham line-up.
