Chris Baird thinks Fulham can overturn their first leg deficit and knock Juventus out of the Europa League at Craven Cottage on Thursday.

Roy Hodgson’s trail 3-1 from the first game in Turin last week but Baird believes that Fulham can put the Italian side under pressure at home.

The first match was a very tough game for us, we knew about the quality they had and they showed it in the first leg. But I still think we’ve got a great chance bringing them back to our place. We’ll be up for the game and we’re confident that we can get a result and keep going in this competition.

It was nice to get back to 2-1 after what happened for their goals. Conceding that goal before half-time knocked us back a bit. But in all fairness, we came out in the second-half, played a lot better and created a few chances.

If we can continue that, especially with the game being at home, I think we’ve got a great chance. Coming to places like Craven Cottage is intimidating for teams like Juve. We’re looking forward to the game.

We know the threat they’re going to pose to us but it’s another great game to play in and hopefully we’ll get the right result for Fulham.

Baird has been much more of a regular for Fulham this season, impressing when he’s filled in as a central midfielder and also at right back, a position that he struggled with at the start of his Fulham career.

I’ve been all over the park this year but I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. My confidence is high and hopefully I can keep that going. I’m really enjoying playing at the moment and hopefully the fans can see that.
