Aaron Hughes has warned his Fulham team-mates not to get too carried away with last night’s win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Goals from Zoltan Gera and Bobby Zamora gave the Whites a 2-1 lead to take to the Ukraine but last year’s UEFA Cup winners scored a crucial away goal at the Cottage. Hughes knows the job is only half done and has urged his team-mates to keep their feet on the ground.

We’re only halfway there. We got a good win last night but it’s only half the job and there’s still a lot of work to be done. We’re pretty pleased we’ve got a 2-1 win against a very good side.

It’s going to be a tough match over there. It’s a fantastic surface and they’ll be popping the ball around, but we know we can pass it around on a nice surface too.
