You’d expect Bobby Zamora’s team-mates to be his biggest champions – and Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera reckons the England hopeful could strike up a mouthwatering partnership with Wayne Rooney.
Zamora did his international chances no harm with a last-minute winner for Fulham against Birmingham City yesterday and Gera reckons the former West Ham striker deserves a call from Fabio Capello.
I think Mr Capello wants to find a player to make a good partnership with Rooney. And I can imagine Bobby playing with Rooney because he is not just a good target player, he can score goals and he can run behind defenders. You see it week in and week out, Bobby is playing very well.
