Dickson Etuhu says Fulham aren’t fretting about facing Shakhtar Donetsk in the last 32 of the Europa League tonight.

The Nigerian midfielder says the Whites are confident going into the first leg despite facing the last winners of the UEFA Cup. Etuhu, likely to continue alongside Danny Murphy in midfield as he slots back into the Fulham side after representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, is looking forward to the test.

Some people say Shakhtar come here as the favourites, and we have to respect that they are a very good side. They’re well organised and have good players.

They will be strong, of course they are, they won the UEFA Cup last season. But we don’t fear them.

We face some of the best players and best teams in the world every week in the Premier League. And teams don’t get much bigger than Manchester United and Chelsea.

It’s a different type of football, sure. But we have a lot of experience with a lot of our players playing European and international football. So that shouldn’t be a problem.
