It looks like it’s a two-way relationship between us and Lincoln. Fulham have taken young defender Graham Hutchison on a month’s trial having sent a number of bright young prospects down to Sincil Bank since Ian Pearce joined Chris Sutton’s backroom team.
Hutchison seems highly rated. He’s been called up to Scotland under-17 side and made his reserve team debut this season. Sutton certainly seems to rate him:
He’s a good young player and it’s a good opportunity. There’s nothing set in stone but he’ll go down for a few weeks, they can have at him and he can have a look at them.
The Beeb article also highlights the pedigree of Lincoln’s academy.
Their academy can’t be that good if they’re buying our entire academy and putting them straight into the first team!
I was talking in relative terms, Nick. They’ve produced Jack Hobbs and Scott Loach in recent years, which compares favourably with the talent that’s rolled off our production line recently, don’t you think?
I agree completely, was merely being slightly facetious.
