Interesting news from the Daily Mail that seems to have some legs judging by the number of foreign media sources that talk of an official offer being made.

Fulham have apparently made a £6m bid to sign Swiss striker Marco Streller after injures sidelined Bobby Zamora and Clint Dempsey. Roy Hodgson has reacted to this dramatic reduction in his striking options by moving for the man who played twice for FC Basel against the Whites in the Europa League this season.

The 28 year-old Streller has scored 21 goals for Basel this season and has formed an effective partnership with another Swiss legend in Alex Frei up front. Both looked very useful at Craven Cottage earlier this season.
