The Daily Mail links Fulham with a £1m move for the former Real Madrid defender Kamil Glik.
The Polish centre back turned down a new contract at the Bernabeu to move back to his homeland and join Piast Giiwice two years ago. Still only 23, Glik has attracted the attention of a number of European sides over the past year and Roy Hodgson has sent scouts to keep tabs on his progress. Tall and versatile, Glik can also operate in midfield and would be eligible for Fulham’s Europa League matches against Shakhtar Donetsk.
I can’t say too much about him as he plays for a mediocre team – Piast Gliwice. I didn’t watch any of their games. But indeed he’s highly acclaimed in Poland and It is said that Lech Pozna? (arguably the best Polish team) was interested in singinghim.
But somehow I’m generally pessimistic about any Polish footballer from Polish league being transfered to Fulham. They’re lacking skill. However, the example of Forest’s Majewski proves me wrong.
