In the absence of a game to anticipate tomorrow, let’s mull over some more transfer rumours.

The Mail reckons Fulham are interested in the Panathinaikos winger Dimitris Salpigidis. Quite why we’d need another wide player – especially as he plays on the right – is anybody’s guess, but here’s some footage of him doing something we’d like to see Fulham players do soon – getting the better of a Ukrainian defence, which included both a Shakhtar defender and their goalkeeper. It was also the goal that ensured Greece would be in South Africa in the summer. Quite a tidy finish.

Meanwhile, tomorrow’s Times claims that we’ve ‘reignited’ our interest in the Crystal Palace youngster Victor Moses.

To add our no doubt delightful mood, a call from a Blackburn-supporting friend tonight cast severe doubt on whether next weekend’s game at Ewood Park, now switched to the Sunday, would survive ‘the big freeze’ (copyright: every exagerrating broadcast journalist).
