The Mail reckons Fulham are interested in the Panathinaikos winger Dimitris Salpigidis. Quite why we’d need another wide player – especially as he plays on the right – is anybody’s guess, but here’s some footage of him doing something we’d like to see Fulham players do soon – getting the better of a Ukrainian defence, which included both a Shakhtar defender and their goalkeeper. It was also the goal that ensured Greece would be in South Africa in the summer. Quite a tidy finish.

He might be quite a good signing. He’s more of the Dempsey’s style than a natural winger. As a fact, he used to play a striker a lot.

Have you got snow in Poland?
Yeah, that’s true. I really like Nevland’s way of playing: he’s a typical poacher in front of the goal. Generally I believe that If it wasn’t for Zamora’s injury, We wouldn’t need to bring anybody in. But signing Okaka on loan would be quite prudent, bearing in mind all the circumstances.
As far as the snow in concerned, there’s a hell of a lot of snow. And it’s only Warsaw, which is about 100 meters above the sea level. What’s more, the forecast says that they’re gonna be constant snow falls during the weekend all around the country, plus possible blizzards. 🙂 Fortunately, Polish league has winter break so no matches are affected. Anyway, every team in the 1st league is obligated to have undersoil heating on the pitch, so that it’s possible to play in October in case the snow falls. In Poland nobody cares If supporters will be able to come to the match in a safe way. The only condition is that the pitch is playable. 🙂

Me too. I’m a big Nevland fan.
For me, the winter break’s a good idea but I also like the tradition of playing around Christmas – besides the number of fixtures there are in England would mean if we had a break we’d be playing until into June! The Premier League want all the teams to have undersoil heating, but Fulham have a particular problem there. Craven Cottage is right next to the Thames so the high water table would wreak havoc with the undersoil heating.
