It looks like Manchester United will have to do without Nemanja Vidic for their trip to Fulham on Saturday.

The Serbian centre back, who scored United’s second goal in a c0mfortable 3-0 over Wolves at Old Trafford last night, picked up a calf strain in the game. Wes Brown is also definitely out – having injured a hamstring in Saturday’s defeat by Aston Villa – so young Ritchie De Laet may partner Michael Carrick in central defence. Sir Alex Ferguson was philosophical in his assessment of the situation.

Ritchie showed some promise and he will probably be there on Saturday. We just have to get on with it.

Could Bobby Zamora repeat last year’s heroics at the Cottage I wonder?
