It’s a long shot at the moment, but the bookies seem to think that Lawrie Sanchez could have his old job back soon. No, not the Fulham one, but coaching Northern Ireland, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

The theory goes that if Nigel Worthington leaves to take over at Sheffield Wednesday – and he’s professed an interest in the Hillsborough job – then Sanchez, whose impressive work as Northern Ireland boss persuaded Fulham to make him their replacement for Chris Coleman, could be tempted back into the international hotseat.
