I’m very happy to have been recognised in this manner. It’s a great award and a great honour for me and my family.
There are many good Ghanaian footballers and to be adjudged the best is really an honour and I thank God for it. “I want to dedicate this award to my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paintsil and to all members of my family for their support. My parents have been solidly behind me and I couldn’t have reached where I’m today without their prayers and support.
I keep saying the manager is like a father to me. He had faith in me and brought me here and I must say he has greatly influenced my play. His influence is great.
He puts enough confidence in me and if you have such a great manager, the sky will be your limit. I will forever be grateful to the manager and Fulham for the confidence they had in me.
