The News of the Screws reckons Roy Hodgson is ready to make a firm offer for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
Apparently, Fulham have been keeping a close eye on the Lech Poznan forward and Hodgson is ready to boost his attacking options in view of the injuries that continue to afflict Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora.
Fulham are keen on an initial loan deal to see how Lewandowski copes with the Premier League, while Lech would favour a straight sale.
They also suggest that our Ghanaian midfielder King Gyan Osei, who is over in Belgium with Germinal Beerschot gaining EU citizenship, is attracting interest from Arsenal. Hodgson sees King as a potential first-team midfielder and has been impressed with his recent development, though, and will fight any attempt by Arsenal to take him to north London.
I’m Polish and personally I wouldn’t sign him. He’s not bad, but still he hasn’t got abilities needed to play at such a high level.
