This morning’s Daily Mirror links Fulham again with long-term transfer target Paul Scharner.

Roy Hodgson was widely tipped to bring the Wigan utility man to Craven Cottage in the summer but the paper suggests that deal fell through on two ocassions. The article also asserts that Fulham would have the funds to pay both a £3m transfer fee and wages, which goes against Hodgson’s recent vague statements that had hinted at a lack of significant business during the January transfer window.
