The word from Roy Hodgson’s pre-match press conference is that there will be no return for Andy Johnson in Basel tomorrow night.
Hodgson had hoped to call on the Fulham striker, sidelined for two months now, for the crucial Europa League clash but Johnson has tweaked a groin in training and won’t play any part. It’s unknown how long this latest setback will keep the former England international out for.
The Fulham manager also said his new contract is now in the hands of the lawyers – but that he doesn’t expect there to be any problems.
