Claudio Ranieri has warned his Roma side to be mindful of the threat Fulham will pose on the break at the Stadio Olmpico tomorrow night.

The Giallorossi must win to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Europa League alive but Ranieri is not taking anything for granted. The former Chelsea manager has studied Fulham’s form this season and was at his cheeky best in answering questions from the Italian media. Asked about the danger of going behind, the ‘Tinkerman’ told reporters:

I already knew it in the away leg.

Arsenal only managed to beat Fulham 1-0, but Roy Hodgson’s team deserved to win. This made me understand just how good this side really is.

They did well against Manchester City and scrambled Liverpool. A difficult game awaits us. It will be complicated because they do a lot on the counter attack.

UPDATE: A little more from a very gracious Ranieri.

We have already seen Fulham’s value when we played there. Fulham deserved to win, so this confirms to me what team we are going to face.

We are third in the group, just a point behind first place. We have two important games at home and we want to progress in Europe.

It will be a difficult match. The objective is to create chances and to keep a clean sheet. My team will give everything on the pitch.
