At first I thought this story might be a scoop on Stephen Greenhalgh’s latest great idea, but it is a bona fide piece in The Spectator on Fulham Football Club. It sings the praises of Roy Hodgson, something that seems mandatory of late, and comments on our manager’s love of literature, again an aside that appears to be in vogue. I think the little play for a laugh is a little harsh on John Pantsil, who I imagine is far more engaging and articulate that many English footballers, but judge for yourself.
Plenty of people seem to think Hodgson’s not a club builder by virtue of his rather brief stops around Europe earlier in his career. He’s going the right way about helping Fulham take some real strides forward, slowly but surely.
