Erik Nevland hailed Fulham’s strength in depth as the Cottagers turned their attention towards their tricky tie in Rome on Thursday.

The Norwegian scored one and made another as Fulham punished a lethargic Liverpool at Craven Cottage having come on as a half-time substitute. With injuries proving more of a problem then last season, some of Fulham’s fringe players have seen more action this year and they have been impressive. Nevland reckons that bodes well.

We’ve a bigger squad than last year. Lots of players are getting time on the pitch and that helps.
