I caught the goals again as I left the ground tonight. Duff’s cross on the run for Zamora was superb – so accurate on the run, although questions have to be asked about just how much space he had in the box. Expect Alan Hansen to lambast his former side’s defending on MOTD tonight.
Notice just how cool Zoltan Gera is at the back post for that crucial second. He might have taken a shot from an acute angle during his dark period last year, but he cleverly cushions it for Nevland to score from close range. The interplay for the third goal was lovely. A wonderfully worked one-two between Dempsey and Nevland, especially as it looked as though the Norwegian was going to shoot when he came inside. Beautiful stuff.
