Quality rumour this – courtesy of TIFF – from a poster who says they bumped into Chris Smalling at lunchtime. Apparently, the young centre back’s going to play tonight but it remains to be seen whether that’s alongside Aaron Hughes or Chris Baird. Baird and Smalling were very strong out in Sofia so it would make sense to play them together again, although Hughes is an extremely underrated defender.
