According to Sky Sports, Roy Hodgson has rejected the chance to manage Sweden and Norway in favour of staying at Fulham.
The Swedish FA had said that Hodgson was on the shortlist of candidates to replace Lars Lagerback, who resigned after failing to guide the national side to the World Cup, and had recently hinted that they wanted to talk to Hodgson, even though he had already stated that he would prefer to stay at Fulham. Norway are still looking for a permanent manager after caretaker Egil Olsen led them through the remainder of their qualifying campaign.
It’s very nice to be mentioned. I’ve made it clear to the people who have contacted me that I have a contract so it’s a non-starter and there is no point in them considering me.
Next up is rewarding him with a nice long-term contract.
