I normally take what the Sun says with a hefty pinch of salt, but here’s one rumour I felt I had to pass on.

According to reports in today’s paper, Fulham are taking a close look at FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea. The 19-year-old was the second draft pick in the 2008 SuperDraft and turned professional straight out of high school, bypassing the collegiate system.

Shea was a member of the US side at the Under-20 World Cup and it would apparently take £2m to bring him to London. Watch this space.
