Kagisho Dikgacoi says he is happy with the way he’s adapting to football in England, having made his debut for Fulham last week at Manchester City.

The South African midfielder, who signed from Golden Arrows towards the end of the transfer window, came on as a substitute in the League Cup tie as a second-string Fulham side lost in after extra time at Eastlands.

Everything is okay and I am adapting well at the club. So far I cannot complain about anything including the weather here which has been good.

I have only played one game against Manchester City where I came on in the 25th minute* and also managed to play extra-time. I am not intending to rush things but to take everything ‘step-by-step’. I missed the club’s pre-season training and was behind in many things but I am grateful to the technical team at the way they have helped me to catch-up with the rest of my teammates.

*I think they/he mean 20-25 minutes to go, as Dikgacoi replaced Simon Davies midway through the second half at City.
