Derby County have confirmed that they want to extend Fredrik Stoor’s loan from Fulham – and will be talking to the London club this week.

The Swedish full-back’s initial one-month loan spell at Pride Park finished this weekend, but Stoor has made such a positive impression at Derby that manager Nigel Clough wants to keep him. He has made four appearances for the Rams, his last coming in the televised defeat against QPR on Saturday, when he was forced off with a black eye.

Clough wants to try and tie up a deal before next weekend’s trip to Ipswich.

His eye completely closed; there was no way he could continue. His loan has expired and we’re looking to extend it this week.
