Brede Hangeland was never on the receiving end of any of Jimmy Bullard’s practical jokes after warning his former Fulham teammate not to try any on him. You wouldn’t argue with the big man, would you?
I said to him early on, ‘Don’t do anything to me’ and he respected that. But there were a few incidents with other players. He was a big person in the changing room.
It’s been very unfortunate for him with his injury, so I hope he comes back and does well – although not tomorrow, of course.
