Russell Latapy has included Bobby Zamora in his Trinidad & Tobago squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Honduras and the United States, although the Fulham forward’s participation remains in doubt due to an Achilles injury.

Zamora, who limped out of Fulham’s defeat to Chelsea in the second half and subsequently missed the trip to Amkar Perm and Sunday’s Premier League reverse at Aston Villa, is expected to visit a specialist shortly before a final decision will be made on his availability. The striker, who has previously been capped for the England U-21s, qualifies for Trinidad & Tobago through his father and was included in the Soca Warriors’ last squad for their August tie against El Salvador but missed out on his debut through injury.

If Zamora is passed fit, he could line up againstĀ his Fulham team-mate Clint Dempsey in Port of Spain next week.
