Roy Hodgson saluted Fulham’s courage after a stirring second half comeback put Everton to the sword on Sunday.

The Fulham manager was delighted with the way his side responded to going a goal down just after the half hour in what was a fairly even first half.

It looked like a 0-0 in the first half but of course they scored a good goal and we found ourselves on the back foot.

We showed a bit more courage in the second half. It was less a war of attrition and we scored two goals to turn the game around.

I thought both teams worked very hard and we know we have beaten a good Everton team today.

Hodgson also singled out Damien Duff for special praise after the winger capped a strong performance with a special winning goal.

It was a wonderful goal and he played well throughout the game.

His crossing was good and it was nice to cap his second home game with a goal. It’s important when you move clubs to show the fans immediately what you can do.
