Goodness me – an erudite and perceptive post from one of the ITV Football team. Whatever next?
To be serious for a moment, though, Ned Boulting’s one of the more stellar performers with that network and it staggers me that he is so criminally underused. His piece highlights a recurring theme with Hodgson: our manager’s love of foreign literature.
I met Terry Venables last night. Charming man – full of praise for Roy Hodgson. Thinks we’ll be more than comfortable this season.
Interesting. I can sense that being worth a post all on it’s on. How did it come about? Was he in Waitrose (like David Elm) or was it at a function or something? Hodgson does seem to have the respect and affection of all his peers, which contributes greatly to our improved press. I’d agree with El Tel’s assessment – even if I was never sure what to make of the man himself.
