Yesterday’s reports suggested that Damien Duff would out of action for three weeks, but today’s papers claim that his calf injury is not as bad as was first feared.
The Daily Express claims that, while Duff will miss Thursday’s Europa League game against FC Basel, he could be back in time for one of the group stage glamour ties – when AS Roma come to Craven Cottage on October 22. RTE reports that Fulham have confirmed Duff will be out for between two and three weeks, but could be available for the Republic of Ireland’s World Cup qualifier against Montenegro on October 14.
