As we are playing a League Cup match at Manchester City, I thought I would remind you all of a very special day there two seasons ago. I actually nearly cry every time I see this. Its definitely the crowd’s reaction that gets me everytime!

Great memories. Strange to remember that we had McBride and Healy starting up front. A reminder that Kamara and Nevland can be a potent combination. And another reminder of the huge contribution of Kasey Keller to the Great Escape.
Kamara and Nevland proved they can cope IF somebody gives them the ball. Great day, great memory and proof that Roy and Ray live every kick. Great stuff.
Great point Lighthouse.Given the ball they can be outstanding. Ray Lew is a true Fulham legend and deserves the credit he is getting alongside Roy.
Such an amazing day. City and Portsmouth were the only two away games I managed that season – boy, I chose well, eh? I seem to remember some of my travelling companions wanted to leave with us 2-0 at half time.
My abiding memory of the third goal was, as Kamara bore down on goal, the guy in front of me launched into a sweary tirade telling his might to watch this fly over the bar and then everybody leapt into the air in delight as Joe proved him wrong. Outstanding. And credit to the two City fans who came over and shook my hand afterwards to tell me that we’ve deserved it and they hoped we stayed up.
Surely if you are going to post that video you’ve got to put up the one of Paul Merson’s reaction on Soccer Saturday. I’m not a fan of the bloke but this was great telvision:
