Bobby Zamora will not make his international debut on Wednesday after injury forced him to pull out of Trinidad & Tobago’s crucial World Cup qualifier against El Salvador.

A senior Trinidad & Tobago official, David Muhammad, said that Zamora had picked an injury over the weekend whilst training with Fulham and was disappointed that he wasn’t able to make the trip.

The question is could the injury be serious enough to rule him out of our opening day fixture at Portsmouth on Saturday? Will that mean Hodgson will have to go pick a Johnson-Nevland strikeforce or a different combination? Watch this space.
