The Danish press are reporting that Genoa defender Magnus Troest is in London to talk to a Premier League club, which this report cites as Fulham.

Despite the inevitable conclusion that Troest may sign to replace the departing Hangeland, this actually could be a move by Roy to strengthen our options at centre back. He obviously knows Troest well from his time as coach at FC Copenhagen and he certainly looks like the kind of prospect who could do well in the Premier League.

Troest has had a spell in England as a youngster at Aston Villa but returned to Denmark aged 18. The Danish under-21 international also has experience in Italy with Parma and Genoa. He seems to be particularly strong – obviously a crucial asset in defence and something Hodgson likes in his centre backs – and, at more than 6ft 2in tall, his height makes him very handy in the air. At the age of 22, he still sounds a real prospect.
