It could very easily be lost in all the excitement of the Europa League draw today but congratulations to Chris Smalling, who has been named in the England Under-21 squad for the matches against Macedonia and Greece in September.
The Fulham defender made his debut for the U21s in the draw against Holland earlier this month and obviously impressed Stuart Pearce, who has decided to give him another opportunity.
Great news. Smalling sounds like he’s got a really bright future ahead of him. I hope he gets some first-team football this year.
