More sensible stuff from Roy in the club’s official preview of the Portsmouth game.

I get the sense that he was much more open that a lot of other top flight managers. Perhaps that’s because his wealth of experience means he’s a lot calmer from day to day. I’ve always thought that Fulham and Roy were a really good fit – right from the start, when his left-field appointment stunned a few people, and even when we didn’t get back on track straight away. His description of our supporters as intelligent was lovely.

It’s encouraging to hear that he’s still working hard to try and get two or three more players in. Roy also hints at the possible of a few non-first teamers heading through the exit as well, but reiterates the fact that nobody has contacted Fulham about Brede Hangeland.

There’s a little look forward to the derby too – which is actually coming around sooner than we think.
