It’s Sunday so the papers have pages to fill.
Tribal Football rehases our old interest in Adam Lallana. Good player, but I wonder whether he’d make it in the Premier League. Southampton might be pressured into selling him by their financial situation – as they were with Andrew Surman – and Lallana could end up at the same club. Wolves are interested, although I have no idea whether either club has actually made a £500,000 bid. Fulham’s interest in Lallana has been so heavily trailed that I’ve almost given up on signing him.
The People reckon we’d swap Carlos Vela for Brede Hangeland plus cash. Only trouble is the Mexican’s a striker – and Hangeland is the rock around which our defence is built. Plus Vela would only be leaving on loan as Wenger clearly sees him as a tasty future prospect.
