The reports on Clint Dempsey signing a new contract at Fulham are gathering credence. The Sun suggested it was nearly a done deal the other day and now the News of the World has some more details.
CLINT DEMPSEY will sign a new four-year £35,000-a-week deal at Fulham this week.
The USA international midfielder, 26, was one of the Premier League’s most improved players last season.
Boss Roy Hodgson has been quick to recognise his progress and will tie down the winger at Craven Cottage until 2013.
Dempsey shone on the wing during Fulham’s impressive season where they qualified for the Europa League.
He had also been linked with a number of clubs at the top end of the Premier League.
This really is excellent news – and recognition of Dempsey’s very real improvement.
